Weird Shipping Route?

Hey guys,

So I bought an Item from a seller in San Diego, CA and I live in Vancouver, BC (Canada). Its 2 States Bellow, but for some reason the package went all the way to Hodgkins, IL.

Was there some sort of mistake or 6 states in the opposite direction was the only way?

Sometimes the direct route is not the best route. Shipping schedules may mean that waiting for a trip from Point A to Point B is slower than putting the widget on the plane to Point C (even with a further stop at Point D) before arrival at Point B.
