Here’s a reminder of fast approaching dates for the 2012 Spring Seller Update, originally announced in February:
- Changes to the eBay Top-rated seller program coming soon-take action now!
Important updates to the Top-rated seller program will be coming next month:
- Maximize your benefits: Canadians with US Top-rated seller status on eBay.com should take action to qualify for additional promotion in main search results on eBay.com by:
- Offering 1-day handling or better where possible.
- Offering a 14-day or longer return window with a money-back refund option where possible.
- Use trackable shipping services and upload tracking information within your stated handling time on at least 90% of the items you sell to US buyers.
- As a Canadian seller, you can still qualify for our Top-rated seller Final Value Fee discounts and search promotion on eBay.com even if you can’t meet the above requirements, but your listings won’t be eligible for the highest level of search promotion on eBay.com.
- On June 1 the sales volume requirement to be either a Global Top-rated seller or a US Top-rated seller goes down to $1,000 annual sales. Track your progress toward these new requirements in your Seller Dashboard.
- The 3-day and 7-day returns windows and “Merchandise credit” and “Exchange” options for new listings and relistings were retired on May 2. Update your Good ‘Til Cancelled listings with a 14-day or longer returns window now. Note: if you are a Top-rated seller, this will be required for your listings to qualify for the 20% final value fee discount starting June 1.
- Manage your business policies from one location-once available to you, opt in to a new way to create and manage custom payment, shipping, and return policies and apply them to listings quickly and easily. This new functionality will be available to all sellers later this summer.
- Start now to update your pictures to meet the new picture quality standards coming this fall. Your listings will benefit immediately and you’ll be all set when the new requirements go into effect-so be ready to load up when pictures are FREE for all sellers in July.
