Another useless .ca promotion

C'mon, eBay. Your selling tools do NOT integrate properly with .ca if the seller was set up on .com - Selling Manager Pro, for example, for which I am paying $15.95/month.

Getting pretty tired of this.

You are right Zarzuella I also have found that SMPro does not integrate with eBay.ca at all well.I am also having problems with trying to get my Turbolister to list on eBay.ca.I ticked off only Canada on the sites list and was given a download of changes to Categories,Item Specifics etc. but when I preview items listed in TL they still show the site as eBay USA even though I removed it from the sites list.So I am going to skip this 10cent promotion as it doesn,t look as if there is any way to easily change hundreds of listings over from eBay.com to eBay.ca.Cannyscotsman.

Yeah it kind of sucks....Blackthorne (owned by eBay) at $24.99/month cannot list to .ca either.

I have just downloaded Turbolister 2 and I find that there is a way to change the listing site there just by clicking on the site box at the top left.So perhaps I will get some stuff listed tomorrow after all by using TL2 instead of TL1.It appears to be difficult (or impossible to change the listing site in TL1 which I have used up till now.I left off downloading TL2 until now because so many people were complaining of problems with it.However at first look it seems easier and faster to use than TL1.Cannyscotsman.

Yeah.Well I spoke too soon.Just tried switching to listing on eBay.ca.It takes the listing price in US dollars but will only accept the shipping price in Canadian dollars it seems. If you try to type in US$ it just doesnt go in.
Now wouldn't that be a mess.Listing price in US dollars but shipping must be in Canadian dollars?????.How does anybody pay with that combination? You would have to convert the total on every invoice to one currency or the other. If I am doing something wrong here maybe someone can put me right but this is all I have been able to come up with so far and I certainly don't want to list the price in Canadian dollars as that only confuses US buyers who are 90% of my custonmers.Cannyscotsman.

I am really, really, really annoyed at eBay Canada right now.

This is the most unreasonable promotion - EVER.

Didn't they learn from the last time around?

If you want people to list on eBay.ca instead of eBay.com, fine - but make it POSSIBLE TO DO SO.

Not even PowerSeller support had any helpful suggestions.

So I ask you this - eBay - if YOUR PowerSeller team doesn't even know how to take a .com listing and make it a .ca listing, how in the world do you expect your sellers to know.

What a useless, frustrating, unreasonable promotion to run!!! Why bother!!!!!!!!

Same here...

I gave it a shot last night and downloeaded all the TL2 updates to list on .ca

Then I started making the necessary modification to A listing and realized I would have to change each and every listing one-by-one. So much for "turbo". I gave up after hmmm... two minutes?!

[expletive] it !

I keep saying the same thing . . . but they don't listen. I have used Vendio image hosting for over 3 years now (flat monthly rate, custom templates and unlimited pictures etc etc) but it ONLY launches listings on ebay.com. No choice. I am not going to the trouble of creating listings from scratch on ebay.ca for promotional days. It just isn't worth it, especially when you factor in the cost of each image on each listing. Is it still .15 cents a picture? Ridiculous. That's what I avoid with Vendio. I am not listing a thing today on ebay.ca.

They're not ever going to listen now. At the last discussion that Jordan had on CTS he said they're going to be concentrating on doing promos for .ca exclusively. I'm paraphrasing but that's the gist of it.

I believe it was said when he answered why the Seller Pack was discontinued.

Totally useless is right!
