I rarely buy from US sellers using GSP. I've had my fair share of those experiences:S

You won't know that until the auction is over as
GSP goes by the final selling price.

The GSP is based on applicable duty. Where were the boots made? Is the seller sophisticated enough to put the place of manufacture in the listing and on the label?
If the boots were made in the USA, Canada, Chile or Mexico, they will have no duty under NAFTA.
If there is duty it will be a percentage of the selling price/value.
You can find the duty for boots and shoes at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/dte-acl/est-cal-eng.html
The GSP is based on applicable sales taxes. What is the sales tax in your province?
The GSP includes a smallish fee of $4-$5 for the services provided.
So, take your maximum bid, add in the duty (if any) and the sales taxes and $5 and that is the most you will pay.
