Hello all

I have been selling on ebay for a little wile now, and I just recently got my PS status.

As I'm trying to increase my sales (combined with sales at my website) I am finding harder and harder to keep track of things manually

Does anyone have any suggestions of an auction management software that could be used to handle both?

What I'm looking is obviously a program that helps me track inventory, automate emails and feedback as well as allow me to export orders (and addresses) to either Canada post's VCD or UPS (since I use both)

In top of that, I also need the two track 2 separate taxes (provincial and GST)

Excel? I want to simplify and if possible eliminate data entry. I'm an advanced excel user and at one point I though of using macros to format pasted data to create an upload file into VCD but after a few tests, I left it alone after considering non practical

I have do a few write up's about the Canada Post VCD program
I would strongly recommend not using it for the time being . If your items are being shipped Groud to America . Please search my user name on Ebay.ca

You will see that the VCD program on groud parcels over 1kg has hidden brokerage fees

However if you write the manifest out manually and ship the item the cost for shipping is lower

I found the hard way, the poor support that CPC has regarding shipments going to the US. Since that day I've only use UPS (or FedEx Ground) for US bound, however 80% of my customers are Canadian and I'm very pleased with my discount level with CPC so I use VCD for those (I also use VDC for processing my prepaid XpressPost USA envelopes and small packets to US) What I am trying to import my sales data into VDC so I don't have to either type or cut and paste each field.

Regarding UPS to the USA I’m very happy with the service, but FedEx ground is much cheaper, the problem is that they will not schedule a pickup at my place because it's not a commercial area, when they change that I will definitely give them my business even with their residential delivery charges are still a lot cheaper than UPS

Look into AuctionWorks. It does all the inventory/feedback/emails great. I'm not sure about the exporting of orders, that's not something I use, but it very well could. I'm pretty sure it will handle the taxes no problem, very customizable.

Email them and ask if it's possible, their support is great.
