Customer Requests for Alternative Shipping Methods

I find myself telling our American friends that at this late stage, if they want their purchased item in time for Christmas they will have to pay for overnight courier.

At the same time I am getting people asking me to take my items to price out different carriers for 2 or 3 day delivery to them.

I am not certain what everyone else are doing but I would sooner loose the sale at this point than run around pricing and delivering goods to be shipped with 2 or 3 different companies.

The way I look at it, the items I am currently selling have been available for over a month on my auctions.
I am selling almost everything I list right now and plenty busy with what I have to ship out with my existing carrier on the 2 days per week I ship let alone run around doing special shipping for those people who left their Christmas shopping to the very end.

I guess I am not a true capitalist.

Most couriers are quite similar in terms of regular air and economy air prices - they almost all have price calculators on their respective websites - making pricing quick and easy.

Plus, they'll come to your door and pickup... heck even regular ground service would still make it to most points in the US before Xmas as it's still a week away!
