Customer Service

Customer service has become so poor these days. I bought from an online merchant (not eBay, an actual well known store) and I had an issue with two of my orders in a row.

 

I e-mail my issue to the appropriate people within the company and the response I got was "You need to go to your local store and tell them your issue" AND "You need to take that up with PayPal."

 

Here was my response to them:

 

I e-mail your company to tell you about an issue I had and the response was very poor customer service.

Never mind the details of my complaint as your company does not care about it's customers. In response to my problem outlined in my e-mail I was told to contact my local store if I had a problem and also to contact PayPal.

 

First, there is no local store where I live. Why do you think I order online? Second, I did not buy my items from PayPal, I bought them from your company. Therefore, you need to fix the problem, not PayPal.

 

I will never shop at your store again. There are plenty of other online stores that do not treat me this way. Also, word of mouth is everything. If a person has a good experience they will tell one or two people BUT if a person has a bad experience they will tell at least ten. Learn some customer service skills.

Try writing to your member of Parliament with a question.  That individual is paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year with your tax money. Yet, getting a relevant and timely answer is next to impossible.

 

And we have only ourselves to blame since we elected them! Smiley Sad

I know. We live in a time where people hide behind e-mail (automated responses...in fact when they e-mailed me back they told ME not to e-mail back, that no one would receive it) and automated telephone service which they go out of there way to make it impossible to get an actual human being on the phone.

 

I did receive a response back that they are sending my issue to corporate office to be reviewed but the damage is already done. I will not shop there again. They can't pretend to care after they made it quite clear they do not care.
