Do I have to send an invoice?

This is the first time I've been requested by a seller to send an invoice? Do I have to? How do I send one? Will it affect how I get paid or how the transaction is done?

Hello 'wondersuperior',

There are any number of reasons why a person may want an invoice, though usually the buyer has bought multiple items.  Any changes you make at that time are reflected in the total on the buyer's Purchase History page.

When you send an invoice a copy goes to the buyer's regular email and perhaps the buyer wishes to pay it from there.  It is just a reiteration of what the buyer already owes, and unless you yourself make a change, it will alter nothing.  On the bright side, a request for an invoice implies the buyer is eager to pay. 🙂

As long as the invoice sent shows the shipping cost to the buyer there is no reason why you have to send an invoice unless a buyer buys multiple items from the same seller. In this case you would want to send a combined invoice to the buyer.

There are still buyers who like to receive an invoice , perhaps its the acknowledge of the purchase . I always sent an invoice.
