No response from sellers to questions

Is anyone else using the eBay Blackberry app getting blown off when they ask a question of a seller?

The 1st time I thought it was merely because the seller was a jerk, I've encountered anti Canadian **bleep** on eBay often enough that I refuse to even consider an auction or sale by a seller who wont ship worldwide, but now that I've been "blown off" by a Canadian seller, I'm at a loss and wondering if my messages are even being sent.

The messages do show up here online showing as "sent" in my "messages" , but what are the chances that TWO sellers, one right after the other, from two countries, are equally unwilling to answer questions and sell what they're trying to sell? ...

Seems slim to me...

If anyone else has this happening, or knows what I'm doing wrong, or if it's just yet another thing that Blackberry/R.I.M is failing at, or what I can do to fix this problem, I'd greatly appreciate any help offered.

Many thanks,

The chances are pretty good.

Take a look at the Communication section of the Detailed Seller Ratings. Anything under 4.9 is poor.

How long did you allow for an answer? Even sellers don't hang out at their computers 24/7.

There is also the possibility that the seller thought your question was insulting for some reason. If that is the case, you are probably on their Blocked Bidder List, too.

Did the sellers have an FAQ list? Some sellers will use that instead of trying to answer questions and ignore more specific questions.

If the seller is a dropshipper, he doesn't have the item in hand, and actually may never have seen the product he is selling. So he can't answer any questions.

It is rude though.

No response from sellers to questions

A week after my questions, their auction/sale expired... No reply.
I asked 1 if they'd use mail instead of UPS, & I asked the other what a spec number referred to. They never associated the number with a quantifying value, which is an absolute must when buying a guitar pickup. They never indicated if it was ohms, frequency, inductance, nothing... it was just a random number that could have meant anything.
If they've put me on their blocked bidder list , it's no loss, they obviously don't want to sell to me anyway, & no reply means I'll never ever consider placing a bid or making a purchase from them, so it's all good.
I don't think either were a dropshipper, both of their spiels read like manufacturer / retailers.
But it wouldn't be the first, or the last time I'm wrong tho...
I have a perfect rating as a buyer, & much praise in my feedback for fast payment, so I'm at a loss...
I'll have to wait and see what happens when next I ask a question of a seller I guess...

thanks for weighing in, much appreciated
