Dollar limit for signature.

I seem to remeber that PayPal raised the dollar limit for signature requirement.

Can someone tell me what it is, or how to find it?

Here is the PayPal Canada user agreement which applies to you since you are most likely registered with paypal.ca.

section 11.4 link below with the Seller Protection amount break points

https://www.paypal.com/ca/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full#11

It says $850 Can but has equivalent currencies like $750 US, $850 Australian etcetera. Note these are not current exchange rates but appear to be the break point for signature on these other PayPal home sites (PayPal.com is $750 US, PayPal.au is $850 Aus).

What currency and break point applies for an international sale is confusing. It has been asked a few times over the years to eBay.ca staff and they said to ask PayPal. No help at all.

Yes, it's been an ongoing frustration trying to get clarification on this question.  For our own protection, I'd suggest assuming that the lower amount is the safest one to use, i.e. $US 750, or its $Cdn equivalent.

Frankly, if I ship anything valued at more than about $250, I pay for the signature confirmation myself as a precaution, especially with the new knee-jerk defect system in place.
