Greetings and Happy New Year, almost.

Not knew to selling but have set up a store after being absent for 3 years selling.

Is drop-shipping allowed in all categories? I seem to have difficulty in changing item location in the stamps category.

Yes.

You have to be a fool to do it, but it is allowed.

Drop shipping means you have no control over the quality of the product. You have no control over packaging. You have no control over shipping method. You have no control over stock.

Which means if the product is garbage, if the product is out of stock, if the product is damaged in transit, or if the product does not arrive within 45 days or less, you will face Disputes, Claims, Negative Feedback and trashed Detailed Seller Ratings. 

These will lead to violations, defects and restrictions on your seller account.

And your supplier keeps the money.

But we're all grownups here. Your business plan, your decision.

PS - Are you aware that Paypal will Hold your customers' cleared payments for 21 Days until you prove yourself?

Thanks FF. My scenario is a wee deviation on this one in that the shipper is a business partner in other ventures.
