Feelings About Canadian PS Board

Just a simple little question for the few Canadian PS's that are here. I frequent both the dot com and dot ca boards. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes I need a break from the bickering that goes on at dot com and come here for peace and quiet. So far this board has been a real pleasure to read and helpful. Don't get me wrong I do appreciate the dot com board at times as it can be very informative but there are limits to how far people should go with the bickering. In the long run I am hoping this board does not go by the wayside as the other board seems to do at times. I am also hoping this board grows in size eventually. So I guess my question is, how do you feel about this. Please remember I am not putting the Americans down. I'll be interested in knowing your feelings.

What a beautiful dog! Male/female/name? Looks like it's still a puppy ready to bounce off it's perch and wrassle somebody. Sometimes I envy people with big enough homes to accomodate a dog like that! Oh well ... been there, and now it's your turn. One of these days, when we finally quit doing collectibles shows and stay home, I'm going to have another dog but this time it'll be a small one.

In line with the OP, I still like this board better than the .com but I'm enjoying watching Lisa and Jackie stand up for us Canuckians! You're both very articulate and it's a real pleasure to be getting to know you both!

What a gorgeous animal. I love Dalmations. When I left Ontario to come to Quebec, I had to give up my 2 big dogs. I had a Lab and a Husky. I took me a year to get over it and I still miss them.

Glenda, Lisa and I are a lttle POd I guess and we're keeping certain morons on their toes - or so we thought...mwhahahahahahahahaha.

My latest one to Gunny is about to disappear so too bad he didn't get the message. Hope you had a good day, Glenda!

That poochie would be my dog Rodeo, 8 years old and all beefy heart.

He's famous! In 1998 I wrote a kid's book about him and it was published in Canada, US and now it it is Korea too. He has his own website rodeopup.com. Kids write to all the time and he writes back (sort of) - it's a cut and paste response.

Mostly he guards our couch.

Lisa, my daughter teaches kindergarten and early childhood. What's the title of Rodeo's book? She's always looking for books, especially by Canadian authors, to entertain "her kids"! And I'm super-impressed! I've only known a couple of authors before and none of them writing for kids, who are acknowledged as a very tough audience!!

Jackie, why would your "gunny" post disappear? I sure didn't notice anything worthy of removal - not even a "pink slap!".

PS -- where can I find a copy of your book? Is it still in print?? If I find one, will you autograph it for me???

My book is out of print in Canada but is still in print in the US. You can find it at Amazon and on lots of web sites. It's called Rodeo Pup. The follow-up book, Jillaroo, is on the web site. You just have to read it and look at the pictures there - for free!

Glenda - nope nope...I didn't mean that literally. I meant it was going to be on page 2 and not everyone bothers to look at threads on page 2.

Lisa girl - I am right proud of ya. I will certainly take a peek at your book too. Congratulations!

Hello People,

Finally done my 152 hours at work. Last 12 days! Oh do I hurt. Just thought you might enjoy seeing the newest addition to our home. His name is Pugslee and he is eight weeks old. Hope this lights up your day. Sure did ours.

Thanks, Don.

He's a puppy - a PUPPY!!!! Now, you can only imagine the voice with which I just said that. I am an animal fiend and I mean in some cases, I prefer them over people. Your Pugslee is gorgeous Don. What a cutie. How big will he get? Not very I should guess, looking at his paws?

He is absolutely beautiful! You probably have "met" Suzanne, aka peter-pug, now granvill-cottage (or some such name since her account got hijacked)...she would sometimes slip a pic of Peter into her listings...so you'd see the gallery pic, and then another view of the item, and then Peter...it was so cute! She even bought pug videos on ebay, don't know if Peter watched them, or Suzanne.
Pugs are the cutest dogs...I also like French Bulldogs, all one ball of teenie tiny machissmo!
I am such a sucker for animals!

He will get to be 12-15 pounds. He is classified as a toy dog. The largest toy dog of all the toy dogs. And I bet I heard that high pitch voice of yours the day we got him and the first time my wife saw him.

Karen

Our second choice was the bulldog. But they are extremely hard to find and are very expensive. $2,000-3,000. Pugs are about a third of that. He is a cutey. Also I have not met Suzanne yet, but I am sure I will eventually. My wife Valerie has been doing all kinds of pug searches on eBay. Those searches will probably cost me a small fortune. LOL!

Have a great day everyone. Hi-ho, hi-ho, its off to work I go.

Hey Don-

What a cutie pie dog you have there!

When we first went dog hunting we looked at bull dogs too. Man Made breed and all (by c-section) - that's why apparently they are so expensive. Big heads, tiny hips.

Your little darlin is gorgeous. Enjoy!

Hmmmmm - I would really like to know HOW he knew that it would be high pitched. That is beyond psychic.

Don - better a toy dog than a toy boy, right?? Have a good and safe day!

Pugslee is adorable! A co-worker of mine from years ago had one and they really are the cutest. Would you believe a couple of months ago we saw an ad in our local community newspaper offering a Pug "free to a good home"? We called but needless to say there was a message on their machine saying it had already been adopted. Had to be quick on that one!

Well, if you get tired of training Pugslee, I can offer a really good home in Victoria (I'll train him to love fleas)!

Jackie - "better a toy dog than a toy boy, right??" You're joking!!! Tell me you're joking!!!! By the way, who do I speak to about renting the broom closet for a weekend?
