I just reached power seller ranks and would like to say hi to all. I am still in learning process as I really started sell on eBay in Fall 2007. I am already paying for my luck of experience with hard cash.
Just few weeks ago buyer from US named i_am_your_dad purchased item value just over C$1,000, all was paid using PayPal, all eligible with confirm address and after sending item in few days I received positive feedback to which I responded with my positive as well. A week later I had my money stopped by PayPal due to unauthorized card use, followed in few days with final verdict, me loosing all amount with explanation that I didn't qualify for PayPal protection. My account is business verified, my shipping was US surface with tracking using PayPal Canada Post module, nevertheless after short note from PayPal and me asking for detail of coverage refusal PayPal is quiet.

Now I wrote to eBay with complain about user and any chance they at least could remove my positive feedback, after few days I had some copy and paste replay, bla, bla. I kept pushing some more and finally they send me links where I can report criminal activity against mention member, but that they can't touch my left positive feedback as that is not in eBay rules, that say they could remove negative they said???

I know that eBay doesn't really cares about sellers and my note is just to worn others, thanks for reading...

You need to read the rules and reg......

To qualify for PayPal Seller Protection shipments over $250 MUST have a signature on delivery (something that is not available from Canada Post except for expensive Purolator service).

Thank for answer, that's my point it took you 5 min to respond and I never received explanation from PayPal..

After all that I done some reading and yes luck of US signature shipping, but there is to Canada and Europe, any reason for this?

$1000 should be enough to get the police involved. There is an address you shipped to, it should be a cake for them to get the guy.

In future use FedEx or UPS with direct signature service.
Also, insuring shipments would be wise.
Having said that ....You need to keep fighting!
You received confirmation online (your positive).
Contact PayPal and inform them of this also.
This person has a confirmed address, which means PayPal has there banking info.


BTW, you should all be aware that power sellers shipping to unconfirmed address that is suppose to be covered as of of Feb. 2nd has still not been employed by Ebay & Paypal.

I consider now add UPS and FedEx for shippments to US,
Insurance works only if item get lost, my was delivered,
I keep sending emails with questions, but no answer,

All PayPal polices sack.

Sad to here that, hope you recover your funds somehow, looks like legal action is your only course right now.

just a note about adding UPS & FedEx shipping to your listings, you will find there cost very, very high and that would make you loose some buyers, I would only use them for High priced items, Unlike the us there UpS rates are a joke compaired to our cost. I had one buyer who wanted to bid on a leather Jacket i was Selling and I only listed Canadapost Expidited Shipping to the us and my Cost was aprox $24.00

This guy emailed me saying he would bid, but he is Feedup of Canadian sellers ripping off buyers with
Shipping.

Man was I upset, I did reply and told him to do his homework b4 sending such a email, and that we are not
as lucky for Shipping cost as Americans are.

well looks like I got abit of topic there.
