good morning fellow canadians! and happy canada day! woke up to a nice email from ebay saying they've removed my listing because 'ivory/bone' goes against their 'animal/wildlife protection' policy. fine, i can understand that. what i don't understand is that i've been selling ivory/bone for a long time on ebay (not lots, but periodically for the last couple of years) and never even knew such a policy existed. and if you go on ebay-type in ivory or bone and you gets hundreds?!?!? this is the SECOND listing of mine that's been removed in less than a month-i'm starting to think someone's after me and reporting me!! what are the chances that just mine are removed from a HUGE bunch of listings twice in a row?!?!? anyways...whatever...

so is everyone 'partying' it up today and celebrating canada day? i don't think i'm doing any of that today, i had a large bbque last night at my house and probably had 12 too many, so i'm suffering from a bit of a hangover this morning-prolly just take er easy for today! there's lots to do in the nation's capital on canada day, but i think i'll just watch the fireworks from my sofa tonight!

Lots of festivities yesterday, and planned for today and tomorrow on "The Rock".
Is Newfoundland "Really " part of Canada? HMMMM.
I know Air Canada flies here, our unemployment checks say "Revenue Canada" on them, and we pay HST(gst to you mainlanders!). We sing "O Canada"...(I used to know all the words but they got changed over the years). We have a distinct society with the longest history in Canada, yet we cannot be distinguished as such because we speak some sort of english.... The French got overthrown and kicked out way back. If they weren't, I would undoubtedly speak very poor french.
Rock on Canada and..... Long may your big jib draw!

Well "klahowya tillicums" - hope you all have a skookum day! from the west coast.

There are lots of festivities planned here as well in the BC capital city, and of course, Canada Day is not over until midnight PDT. Don't think we'll take part in any - been there, done that and now prefer to avoid crowds. I guess we're getting cantankerous in our old age! We celebrated with a round of golf this morning and we'll likely barbecue for dinner - that's festive enough for the old guys!!

Lots of celebrations in Stratford today.....dancing, speeches, parade, fireworks plus our Sunday night concert in the park. We will probably get to some of the festivities. We would have been at the beach today (Goderich) but it's a little cooler today....maybe tomorrow.

My aunt 'emigrated' from Newfoundland to Canada Andrew, just before it became part of Canada.

Kat someone likely did report you. I had an alert awhile back that I couldn't use Native American in my listings. I removed it from all of them but some of my competitors still have it in their description. As for lots of people selling the same thing, I was reading my major competitor's hundred and some negative feedback in the past month. One person neg'd them and said that this seller had told her she would not get a refund if she gave them negative feedback. It's funny though, I don't see their 2nd user I.D. with listings right now. Maybe they were one of the P.S.'s that got suspended recently.]:)

Happy 140th Birthday Canada!!!!!!!:-)
