Re: How do you remove items from your list of pending sales list?

If you are asking about how to get rid of items that are expired (or declined) Best Offers, I wish I knew. Mine seem to be stuck there forever but only on the ebay app on my mobile device. It seems to be a technical glitch although one that might have been fixed in an update I have yet to install.

Otherwise, what do you mean by 'pending sales' list?

Re: How do you remove items from your list of pending sales list?

First off, thanks for the reply.

I am new to eBay and decided to look around for some men's work boots. I saw some boots I liked.  I can't recall exactly all the details but when I went to purchase it there was a glitch of some sorts... a number in my visa was wrong or a different error. I corrected the error and went back to purchase it again and it said it had sold. I tried to go and see if there was another pair. I went back to Buy Now... selected my size (11) but then it showed there were no 11's left. What? Really, I thought. I went back to see again but this time it said there were only Brown's left in stock and when I searched again there no Black's in my size... I went back and forth trying to find the colour and size to no avail.  So I left the site and no payment was made.

A while later I get a message to pay for the items. Four of them!. I guess the first set that sold were mine...and the next and next and... but the transaction never went through. While I searched for other Blacks, in size 11 but could only find Brown, it seems that they were added to my 'cart/order' somehow.

Well as mentioned, there were no 11's in Black and only Browns  and didn't I want it so I didn't complete the order.  I contacted eBay resolution's by message, on how to correct this and have not heard back. I have not tried to call eBay yet, which I may or may not have to do. I as well, contacted the seller and explained my error who replied by eBay Message and said "no problem.

Then it escalades where I get a message about an Unpaid Item Case (x4). I messaged the seller again who so far has seemed very reasonable... just keeping a paper trail for my records too.

That was due Jan 29... I have heard much since and it's Jan 31. I can only assume the seller is/ will cancel the order(s). Waiting...

In my travels through the eBay site this past while I am becoming more familiar with the process(s) and intricacies of using eBay. With that said... I'm not paying for 4 pairs of boots. And definitely not after I have a pair of the exact style/ type, on the way being shipped that I found, ordered and paid for, albeit slightly more money, on Amazon.

I'm just not sure I know what I did wrong so I can avoid it in the future. I hope others aren't prone to this too.

Just glad I wasn't searching diamonds or rare and valuable art...lol

Well basically you bought 4 items and did not pay for them. There is nothing mysterious about it.

In order to "buy" an item you have to click on buy it now at some point. If you just add the items to your cart then you haven't bought the items until you pay for them. It sounds as if you had already used the but it now option on the first set of boots which is why they were no longer available whe you looked again. Are you able to pay for the first pair? What does your purchase history show?

Don't assume that the seller will cancel the order. It's more likely that he will file an unpaid item claim so that he can recover the fifes which have already been charged by eBay. You should contact the seller, explain what happened and skip him to cancel rather than keep him in limbo. If he files an unpaid claim you will get a strike on your account
