How long do I have to pay from purchase

Am I not correct in thinking I have 7 days to pay for an item, from the purchase date (unless otherwise stated in the advertisement)... I've waited before up to a week to pay for an item to coincide with my payday. It's been 5 days and the seller just opened an unpaid item case against me! What! Nowhere in her listing did it state to pay by 3 days or 5 days etc...

Am I wrong???

A seller can begin an unpaid item dispute after 4 days and can close it out 4 days after that.

Its always best to pay for your items as soon as possible. Just like its always best for a seller to ship your items as soon as possible after payment.

There is so much stuff available on eBay, that it makes sense to hold off on bidding until you have the money in hand.

That way, the seller can ship within a few hours, depending on the day of the week you order, and you have your item that much faster.

No harm, no foul.

You get your item,

Seller gets paid.

BTW not a good method of buying.
