If all else fails, there's paypal. Do you have an account with paypal? If so, go to transaction there and open a line of communication with the seller. It would be easier to do this through ebay and have the seller obligated to pay return postage (with tracking) for you because the item doesn't work but, to be honest, I'm not certain you can do that as a guest.
