Its actually for 7 days.
I was not invited. 
No email message
No message in "my Messages"
No promotion showing in "Promotional Offers" panel in "Selling Manager"
Tested one auction listing this morning and it was deducted from my "free" monthly allocation.
And life does go on.
I am standing outside looking in, as well. Mind you, I never seem to get invites in the first wave.

Mr. E. just sounded so sad and defeated -- the best moan, I suppose. But no, heck, you guys can have it and grapple over who gets how much. 
Actually, I just finished listing the few items I wanted to list at auction yesterday, thinking I wouldn't be invited (yet again) to this one anyway. Strange how these promos are coming thick and fast now. I'm hoping for another longer-term FP promo with bells and whistles like the one earlier this spring -- that was truly useful for me.
I would share with Pierre, but, sigh, I didn't get an invitation to the party. I never get invited. sigh
