Message Formatting

Two problems. 1st, my message formatting to send & reply to sellers is fouled up. Message page is huge - twice the width it should be so it's hard to read anything I send & half the time the seller receives code instead of the message. Been like this for a few weeks. Sometimes okay - mostly screwed up. Any suggestions?

2nd, due to cognitive impairment from chemotherapy, I don't do phones. I have a hard time with verbal comprehension & expression unless I can see the person face-to-face. eBay has eliminated email "help" so far as I can tell, despite my literally dozens of explanations about it being a disability issue - before they shut down email & instant messaging "help". Does anyone have a solution for me? Anywhere on eBay email help still exists that I've missed? Thanks!

Hi Mary and i'm certainly no expert but it sounds like a puter issue..

Have you..cleared cookies and cache.

tried another browser.

Do you... have JavaScript enabled.

Hello Mary,

Are you sending and receiving messages in your regular email, or do you use the ebay message system via your 'My eBay' page?  Going through regular email, messages are occasionally out of whack.  Sometimes it helps to close the message and reopen it.

Do you use a word program to type your messages and then cut & paste?  Sometimes if you write in HTML it will come out all wonky when you post it.

I'd say start by clearing your computer's cache and cookies (temporary internet files) as heidilynn suggests, - for some people that works wonders.

Thank you both for taking the time to reply! Cookies are clear & I've gone through the eBay browser instructions to check mine. It seems to be the correct browser. Java is enabled. None of these things seem to make a difference. I do eBay messaging only from the My eBay messaging page & don't cut & paste. I checked eBay for known site issues & couldn't find anything about messaging. Argggghhh! I'm not a computer whiz either so I'm sure I'm missing something. Thanks for trying to help guys.

The only thing messed up is my eBay message page so I thought there must be a glitch only on that page. Thanks. I'll keep searching. 🙂
