I designed a logo using Cool Text and it is saved to my Desktop but I can't get it installed in my Store. It is presently in "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer".

I am still not that computer savvy and would appreciate any help I can get in getting it in my Store. Thanks!!!!

Judy, from your My eBay select:

- Manage My Store
- Design Your Store
- Under Display Settings click Change
- Under Basic Information click Change
- Under Store Logo select either Upload to Picture Manager or enter the url if you already have it uploaded to the web
- If using Picture Manager select the radio button for that option and browse for the image
- Click Save Settings

No, but it made me laugh!....And thanks for the encouragement...again...I do hit my lows sometimes but I bounce back....with a little help.....:-)

I tried all of those things, except the url, and thought I had somehow missed something. I have the picture located in Picture Manager under "Logo". When I select it and do a Preview I get a little square with a red diamond shape in it and the words "Custom Logo" beside it but no picture. I have tried it several times and even downloaded the logo twice from Cool Text with the same results.

Make sure that you file format is either BMP or JPEG if not then you can use Microsoft PAINT to open your logo file and then under FILE menu choose SAVE AS and then select under FILE FORMAT choose BMP or JPEG.

Also make your the file size is 320 x 480 max or whatever eBaY says the maximum file size allowed.

Thanks Tim,

The file format is JPEG and is slightly larger than eBay allows. But eBay says it will automatically be resized to fit.

I figured out from one of the Help features in Store Manager what my url was and tried using that but it still came up the same with no photo.

I'll just keep "friggin' around until I frigger it out......:^O

I can't figure it out. The image can be seen in my Picture Manager. I even tried it out on my as yet unpublished web site and it is fine. The only time the image doesn't show up is when I select it for my Store. If I right click on the mouse and hit View image it shows a page saying that the url cannot be found on this server.

Hmmmm .... if you still can't "frigger it out" let's hope Monique has a look at this thread and can add something useful. I haven't had to ask her more than once or twice on any problem, but she's been able to solve problems when I've asked her - she's sorta my "last resort go-to person"! I don't want to bother her unless I really can't find an answer elsewhere 'cause I know she's busy, but she's always be helpful and obliging!

It is stored in My Pictures on my computer and also in Picture Manager.

Uploaded means taking it from your computer and putting it online. If your URL is pointing to your computer then that would be why it's not showing.

Picture Manager? as in eBay's picture thing? What is the URL you're trying to use?

I see the Western style Welcome in your store. Is that it or are you wanting a different one? Sometimes the eBay store logo is a bit tricky. If your dimensions are too big, it won't accept it. You have to make sure the dimensions are whatever they say it needs to be.

I have the new logo in the same places as the one I am presently using. The new logo is only slightly larger and eBay says it will be automatically resized.

I may just have to wait for my son-in-law to come over. He builds and services computers and knows "everything you ever wanted to know about computers". When I have a problem it is usually something really simple that I am overlooking or didn't know.....but I'm young and still learning.....:^O
