Hi all,

l had an item where the buyer instead of talking to me , decided to file a claim on a item he wanted to return. Long story short , the item was on its way back and as soon as it arrived in my city Victoria, Pay Pal refunded the money, say that the tracking number provided information that the item was delivered.

Guess what? The item could not be delivered because the address was incomplete , and now it is going back to the sender. He now has his money and my item its around $175.00

I have already appealed it and they responded that they were satisfied.

see for your self Canada post CP973053349US. I wonder if I should call Pay Pal personally?

Why would it be a waste of time? He has been tooken advantage of, and deserves justice! This return delivery had an incomplete adress so it was returned to sender, the buyer. Paypal ir ebay is making up stories now, as an attempted delivery, it was originally returned because of incomplete address, not because of fail to deliver. This is a good example of ebay and paypal lies to cover themselves from the situation, and as usual, paypal and ebay get off scott free. They still get their fees paid to them by the seller though, don't they? They never return those insertion/final value fee/paypal fees in situations like this!

The BBB doesn't have any power to force ebay or paypal to do anything. I imagine they let companies know when a complaint has been filed and perhaps that made ebay to decide to change their decision.

Well..power or not,all I know is that it worked for me and I personally know of others who it worked for also.It's worth a try,not everyone is content to just lay down and be screwed over by companies injustices.

Update.

Well this is getting really funny now. As I have stated earlier , I reported Pay Pal to the BB San Jose. They had responded ( surprise ). Now there trying to say that the item was delivered. They gave the tracking number. Yes it was delivered. Delivered back to the buyer. Honestly , at least I got a good chuckle. I replied to Pay Pal or BB ( I don't know who will get the response), and asked them to actually take a better look to see that this indeed it was delivered back to the buyer not to me . Gotta wonder what Pay Pal looks at.

EUREKA !!!!

Pay Pal refunded my money. Obviously filing a claim with BBB helped.

"PayPal values you as our customer and wants to make your experience with us a positive one. After further review of your payment reversal, we are happy to offer you a courtesy credit of $177.84 CAD in order to offer you a resolution. Please allow for 2-3 business days for the funds to be credited to your PayPal account balance. "

They also finally admitted that they were in the wrong with tracking confirmation.

Im happy it worked out in the end, and I thank them for the refund, but why make customers have to go through such lengths.

Pay Pal response

On April 29, 2014, we requested your buyer return the disputed merchandise to you, at their own expense, in order to be eligible for a refund. They were required to return the item and provide us with valid online shipment tracking information that would allow us to track the merchandise's delivery. The tracking information was provided to us on May 6, 2014. Upon further review of the tracking information provided, I see that the package sent back to you was deemed "undeliverable" by Canada Post. As you did not receive the item and it was sent back to the sender, we are reimbursing you for the amount of the transaction. I sincerely apologize for the frustration that this situation has caused you.

Thank you Lisa for giving me that information. I would have never thought to do it myself.

I went on BBB San Jose site and looked up Pay Pal and their was all the registered complaints against them. All for anyone to read. I was actually surprised on how many claims Pay Pal had rectified by giving refunds. It was a large percentage.
