Paypal Fraud Issues

Well in the last 2 weeks I have received 3 Paypal chargebacks all releated to World of Warcraft. What a nightmare this is going to be. Any suggestions on how I can avoid anymore?

I am now checking into the purchasing history of all my winning bidders. The fraudulent buyers have bought over $1000US in World of Warcraft items in the last week.

Also I will be requiring phone number and full address so that I can do a reverse phone/address lookup.

Anything else besides "don't sell the product"?

Re: Paypal Fraud Issues

Make sure you follow the rules for paypal. Confirmed address, tracking, etc.

And if they bought over 1000.00, ( for one buyer that is about 5 years of play ) doesn't that sound suspisious?

Re: Paypal Fraud Issues

The whole Confirmed address thing doesn't work in Canada since many cannot confirm their addresses.

Additionally, the seller protection policy only works for Canadian sellers selling to US buyers with Confirmed addresses.

Tons of holes for fraudsters to exploit.

Yes the first fraud I waited for a week before shipping the items. Of course, 3 days after shipping the chargeback occurs. Now I'm wiser to the situation.
