Power seller Discount

I don't know what is up with the Billing this Month, I had 4.8, 4.9 & 5.0 Score

all through the Month and this morning I look at my invoice and Notice that

I only received a 5% refund instead of the 15% ??

Also Noted there was a note in that section on The Dashboard that the 15%

Discount will not be available come April.

If I remember back that was the argument to raise the fees and now it looks like

there will be only a 5% and a 20% Discount, Seems very Cheesy to me.

I Could be wrong but that's how it Looks.

anyone else only receive a 5% Discount ?

Have a Good Day!

Re: Power seller Discount

Don't knoiw yet - my invoice won't be out for a couple of days.

The discount is based on a snapshot of your numbers on a particular day. If they were down that day, too bad.

The 5% discount in April is for regular powersellers and the 20% is for TRS. The 15% is being eliminated.

Re: Power seller Discount

Do not count on the discount, the ol'good profit margin is the way to go. DSR rating system on which discounts are based is a crowd manipulation gimmick with zero possibility for external audit.

Re: Power seller Discount

A few things I wouldn't mind getting clarified...

"The 5% discount in April is for regular powersellers and the 20% is for TRS. The 15% is being eliminated."
What about the 20% powerseller discount for having 4.9 DSRs or better across the board? I haven't been able to see that discount since last spring, so I am not too concerned about it - but do wonder.

My invoice states :"Power Seller Discount: You Saved 5% on Final Value Fees this Billing Cycle for listings on eBay.ca." Since I'm registered on eBay.ca and so is my store, does this discount only apply to listings that I post on eBay.ca or does it apply to listings posted on any of the eBays. I currently post on three sites and am now mainly posting only on eBay.com do to the TRS program and it's discounts. I am under the belief that only eBay.com listings qualify for the TRS discounts. Am I wrong?

"DSR rating system on which discounts are based is a crowd manipulation gimmick with zero possibility for external audit."
I'm confused - what do you mean by that, dipmicro?

And last thing I wouldn't mind figuring out... Am I to believe that the DSR ratings listed on my dashboard are ratings received only from my U.S. customers, and the DSRs showing on my feedback page are ratings received from all my customers worldwide? They never seem to be the same. I use the dashboard ratings since they go to a hundredth of a point.

"I am under the belief that only eBay.com listings qualify for the TRS discounts. Am I wrong? "

The 20% TRS discount applies to FVF from ALL transactions, regardless of site where listed or currency.

That being said, when eBay gives me the discount, they put it on two lines:

Date (PDT) Discount type Amount (USD)

Nov 30 Power Seller Discount: You Saved 20% on Final Value Fees this Billing Cycle for listings on eBay.ca. -$3.43

Nov 30 Top-rated seller Discount: You Saved 20% on Final Value Fees This Billing Cycle -$215.31

Re: Power seller Discount

Is there any reasonable and easy explanation why my 20% FVF discount is less than my 5% FVF discount? I just assumed my TSR discount was so much lower than the PS discount (as it was in November) because I have most of my listings on eBay.ca (and thus not applicable).

31-Dec Power Seller Discount: You Saved 5% on Final Value Fees this Billing Cycle for listings on eBay.ca. -C $4.31

31-Dec Top-rated seller Discount: You Saved 20% on Final Value Fees This Billing Cycle -C $0.28

I didn't think that discount distribution would be so complex!

On my bill it states 15% for powerseller discount for .ca and that is all. Only one line on the invoice.

I have been TRS since Nov. and have seen no discount as I list on .ca only! I think now, that maybe it does only apply to .com! YIKES!!
Can someone shed some light?
