I received a negative feedback today from an unstable buyer in Florida. They insisted on paying only $2.50 for international airmail, I refused as my shipping rates are clearly stated on the auction, and they left me a negative claiming I received payment and wouldn't shipment. I received a partial payment via PayPal and I refunded it back to the buyer as the amount was insufficient.
I requested the buyer's contact info from eBay and it's all fake. The names on the PayPal payment, their eBay record, and their UPS Store box are all different. Their phone number is also incorrect and the address given to eBay is a UPS Store!
I requested eBay remove the negative based on the fact that the contact info is invalid. I also contacted two other sellers that got inappropriate feedback from this person to let them know that the user's contact info is rubbish. Hopefully their bad feedback will be removed as well.
My questions are:
1) How long does it take to have the negative removed from my record?
2) I left a negative for this buyer. If their negative is removed from my record does my negative also get removed from their record?
Has anybody else had an experience like this?
I'd appreciate any comments.
Regards,
Regaz

I had a guy bid and then not pay, and leave me a negative 'oops'.
When I checked his info, he is registered in the US, but lives in Italy!
For some reason eBay did not consider that invalid, and would not remove the negative. And they never replied to constant requests for an explanation, so of course after a month I just gave up, which is what they wanted in the first place.
I have never had any luck with eBay enforcing it's rules if it involved ANY work on their end, but maybe you will have better luck!
In the almost six years I have been on eBay I have observed their Customer Service has decreased relative to the fees going up; you get less but pay more.
Kinda like Canada Post, but without the local outlet!
Anyway, good luck on that. Don't waste too much time tho...

ragaz, in this case you have to pay 20 bucks for feedback removal. also an ebay business !!!. this takes about 20 days, if the buyer does not respond they remove the feedback for you automatically.
the only way you dont have to pay is if you can contact the buyer and convince him to remove the feedback. there's a link hard to find to do that.

I attempted to get my (single) negative feedback removed by submitting a claim... I didn't think I could get followup info -- I never heard anything from eBay and I still have the negative.
What do I need to do to pursue this?
Thanks!
John
