So for all Canadian sellers why do we not have an Adults only Category when every other EBay Has

I have been fighting with EBay to add an Adults only section to our listings as per there FAQ since asking why it is not there to post to under everything else >Adults only every other EBay Location other than Canada has this available but I still get charged the same fee as everyone else does, Another thing I think they should look at is our OUTRAGOUS SHIPPING FEES and then the charges they place on us after we sell an item that is the reason we can not  compete with other EBay sellers as they can ship with tracking for $5 and our minimum is @ 12.00 plus the final value fee for shipping as well as the shipping final value fee its about time someone looks at the Canadian site and does some revisions I think what do you Guys and Gals think ???

Re: So for all Canadian sellers why do we not have an Adults only Category when every other EBay Has

What many Canadian sellers do is look at the cost of our products.

Not what they sell for (the more the merrier!) but what we pay out in procurement costs, fees including shipping fees, and packaging.

Then we look at our customers.

Are they the kind who read and understand descriptions and terms? Are they likely to complain about practically anything? Are they the kind who will "make an offer" on an item priced at a toonie?

With that knowledge we can decide when we really need to track and when we just accept tracking because it comes with the Canada Post service.

And when we can go commando.

I sent a $40 item recently with an 85 cent stamp. a repeat customer and the product attracts very honest customers. There will be no problem.

I sent a $10 item the same day with $10.30 shipping. New customer, in Israel, who was slow to pay and tried to persuade me he had already paid, when he had not. I fully expect an "Item Not Received " claim before the month is out.

EBay does not require us to track our shipments. This is useful if we are faced with a INR claim, but for many sellers the loss of sales from 'too high' shipping charges and the relative scarcity of disputes and claims means we don't bother.

What you lose on the swings you make up on the roundabouts.

For the 'adult' listings, I have little comment. You may be surprised what is allowable on dotCA, if you try. (Don't use NSFW in a title though. I got pinkslapped on that one once.)

The biggest problem I find with listing on dotCOM is deciding how much Flat Rate Shipping should be to Canada, since only there do I have to think about Regional rates.

I did get pink slipped for posting a few men's magazines on the ca site when usa is there and germany all posting the same content, there is not an adults only category on the ca site that's my beef when all the others have that category available and they sold good for the first few days listed.
