There is a bug on ebay.ca on sell similar and staff won't believe me

if you are selling an item in US dollar and if you click on "sell similar", the currency won't be copied into the new listing, instead it will be set as "Canadian dollar".

Tried to convince the staff to fix the problem, she said "no bug as I'm the only person who reported this problem"

Been having the same problem for a week now. I just revert it back to US dollars.

I am having the same issue, I hate it.  I wish we could set it like the shipping amounts.  Just one extra step.

My main customer base is the US, US$ go into paypal then get deposited into a US bank.  All my prices, shipping amounts reflect the low canadian $.

the thing is once you hit the submit button, you won't be able to change the currency back to US which I hated it. I had to close approximately 10 listings today, and a few a week ago and relisted it one by one.

It's not a glitch, ebay changed it so that a sell similar or new listing would always default to Canadian dollars.  They should have some sort of warning when a listing is changed from U.S. to Canadian but for some reason they don't.

Personally, I don't think that anything should change on a sell similar listing unless the seller changes it but ebay thinks of sell similar as a 'new' listing.

Take a look at the last two or three Wednesday Board Hour sessions.  This is not a bug or a site issue, but a deliberate change.

The eBay.ca staffers were being rather cagey about whether this was the first step toward making listing in $Cdn obligatory (and the only choice) on .ca, but many of us expect it is.
