Hey guys!
I am planning on ordering a couple of items soon.
The sellers are offering USPS First Class Mail International to Canada. Once First Class mail enters into Canada, what service does Canada Post use it as?
I know Priority Mail turns into Xpresspost but never knew what First Class mail turns into.
Thanks!:)

First Class remains First Class for envelopes or becomes "Parcels" for parcels
Either way both methods are subject to GST/HST (and duty for items not made in NAFTA countries) if valued over Cdn$20.
If tax is assessed, Canada Post adds a flat $9.95 brokerage (handling) fee to the taxes payable to the government. Many parcels do cross the border without Canada Customs charging tax.

I am buying some tape that is worth $12, so I don't think I will be charged tax etc...

First Class Mail International entering the country is now also "turned" into Xpresspost. I receive packages every week that were sent First Class, and every one of them had the Xpresspost sticker on them. It is like that since January 2013 (when they introduced Delivery Confirmation for FCM packages from the US).

With USPS First Class I've never been charged any fees on anything under $70 Cdn.
