In 1999 I with others set up pirate radio station called DRK RADIO.
It was great fun and lasted for about one year.
There was some great djs playing blues to rock pop and a bit of everything.
The djs names were in code so the powers that be did not know who we were.
There was the silver fox
The hairy man
Dj hacker
Billy the kid
Togge
Chris Carroll
And many more.
What I would like to do now is start it again on this board.
You be the dj and find the music video you want to play on YouTube and post a link on here.
You can also post a video of you talking about the song you picked if you like.
And the next posted do the same.
I will get the ball rolling

This was the very first song played at live aid.
Not a great song, but we have to start with something.
Can you do better, please join in.

Mississippi/Delta blues had an umbilical cord to every day of their lives. There are lots of people who can play the blues but a vital ingredient is missing………actual life experience. Of course both of us, with Irish blood in our veins ……music is a necessity.
Here’s a tune from long ago, sung by a man who was born just up the road from you. I can’t count how many times as a child I heard this song and this man’s voice in my grandmother’s home.

Music is a huge part of our lives and our psyche….and often we do not realize it. Hard to imagine a world without music.
I enjoy this thread….it’s an escape from all the others. It would be a bit better if the powers that be allowed embedded vids which would make it a bit faster to watch.
I personally would like to thank you for starting it.

Their sales are of this planet over here.
