Re: Welcome to eBay.ca Weekly Board Hour Session!

E bay steals money from seller. Here is how they do it. Buyer commits to purchase expensive item on the last day of the month. (in this particular example 30 June, 2013. The item is worth more than $5500 plus taxes and shipping. EBAY charges buyers account commission on unpaid sale (more than $260.00 in final value fee). Ebay charges Seller credit card on 16 July full amount of sellers fees for month of June 2013 (including unpaid sales) Then buyer never pays for item. Ebay issues credit for sales fee that only takes effect on 16 August 2013. Ebay steals money for one month!!! For some people this is a substantial sum. When charged on seller credit card interest in the amount of 22% per annum applies. There is no recourse for Seller. Any interaction with EBAY support on continues tp prove EBAYS total disrespect and disregard for seller. One is roputed to Asia where some mindless person who cannot see past there nose and who displays no common sense offers ZERO ASSISTANCE.

Is EBAY going to do anything to offset SELLER expense of final value fee of over $260 for unpaid item which Ebay holds for over a month? Of course not. This forum and EBAY customer support is TOTALLY USELESS and an exercise in public relations.

Ebay only wants to APPEAR to support sellers, in FACT they never do!

"Ebay charges Seller credit card on 16 July full amount of sellers fees for month of June 2013 (including unpaid sales) Then buyer never pays for item."

Is this factual or theoritical?

In practice, eBay does NOT charge the credit card the full amount IF the seller filed a non-payment claim on the Resolution Centre four days after the sale.   Over the years, I have personally experienced several instances where fees are charged for a transaction taking place in the last few days of the month, refunded early the following month (due to non-payment by buyer) and my credit card charged the difference only, not the end-of-the month total.

When you use the word "stealing" for what is only a normal calendar difference between debit and credit, you make it nearly impossible for anyone at eBay to help you.

As far as high interest you had to pay on a credit card because you did not pay the balance when due, why is that eBay's fault?
