I compared what this box/weight would have cost with Canada Post, approx a 30% higher rate, and a much longer service time. Of course, couriers don't work for everyone but, sure does here.

Agree with you on most of those points but not sure how much of a "healthy discount" you're getting with approx 35 shipments in the past 30 days? Unless of course you're using multiple selling id's

I used Fedex for about a year.

They lost 4 shipment on me and left a $230.00 shipment at the wrong address on a customer that was just desperate for it.

Took a week to get the driver to go back - he just said he delivered it to the right spot.

The guy that was at the other end of the street finally brought the shipment over to my customer.

Canada Post lost ZERO shipments up until December, then they damaged 4.

USPS has lost NOTHING on me and now I get an 8% discount on rates you can't even HOPE to get in Canada. -------------------------------------------------------------------

jerseypros. The number of boxes factors in, sure, the weight and size of the boxes do as well. Except for the past month or 2 where I have been selling a number of lighter items, my shipments normally ranged from 20 to 55 lbs. My rep has repeatedly told me that "weight is where it's at", when negotiating your discount.

surplusdealdude. wow, thats a string of stinking luck. 3 years with Fed-Ex here, one lost parcel, made a claim, had my check within a week, no muss, no fuss.
