do i have to send back an item and wait til they get it before i get a refund??

I just bought and iphone4s for over 250$. I patiently waited for it in the mail....and after 2 weeks it arrived yesterday. I went to hook it up, and was denied as the phone is blacklisted from bell, and is not able to be hooked up.  THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THE AUCTION, or i would not have bought it. the seller will refund my money.....BUT not until he gets the phone back. Is this fair? i have to wait another 2 weeks for him to get it back. i dont think thats right....what do i do??

Hi . Sellers will not refund without item returned. Unless seller accepts responsibility , return is at your cost with on line delivery confirmation in case a claim becomes necessary.

PS.. listing title says Bell Mobility but description says Bell Atlantic Mobility. Isn't that US.

Neither you nor the seller can have both the item and the money.

You will have to return the item before the seller refunds.

Use a postal service that offers Delivery Confirmation, like Expedited USA or ExpressPost. These services are usually cheaper purchased through Paypal than from Canada Post either online or at the PO counter.

You must also purchase Signature Confirmation, since your refund will be over $250.

Check the invoice you got when you received the phone. There is a phone number on the back that will get you a refund on the tax and duty you paid for the phone. You will not be refunded the brokerage/service fee charged by the carrier.
