Hi there,

I have ordered product from 2 different sellers on ebay and when I did not receive the product I contacted both sellers to see what the problem was, both stated that the items had already been sent but because I did not receive them both sellers agreed to resend.  I checked with them several times and was asked to be patient because this that or the other thing was going on and it has been several months now and I still have received nothing so I wanted to warn other buyers by leaving feedback, however I am now told that not only has the time run out on my refund alottment time but also my feedback time. I will include the names of sellers and items numbers here just in case it can help anyone else out there:

 

 

 

Anyway I'm fairly new to ebay and over all I have to say that it has been a good expericence, I have had a 98% success rate with the sellers on e-bay. This really has nothing to do with e-bay because I had one other transaction go bad on me and I followed the instructions and e-bay gave me my money back, the difference with that problem was that when I contacted the seller I did not get a response so I informed e-bay right away, these other two sellers have responded everytime I contacted them and just kept asking me to wait so like a dummy I did.

 

In any case I am going to take a break from e-bay for a while and I hope this will help someone somewhere.

No need to guess. The sellers were in China?

This is a relatively new scam, and usually from there.

The whole transaction is a lie.

There never was an original item.

There never was anything sent, never mind re-sent.

The scam is that naive new members will accept the 'replacement' and wait, as you did, not only past the refund deadline but past the feedback deadline.

 

Go to the credit card you really paid with. (Paypal is just a useful mediator). Call the 1-800 customer service number and ask about a chargeback. Have all your paperwork (transaction numbers, dates, payments, currency, etc) handy for the clerk to process a refund.

But act immediately. While cards have longer deadlines they do have deadlines.

 

Tiny bonus. If your card refunds you and you paid in US dollars, you may actually be a little ahead on the foreign exchange since the loonie continues to drop like a stone under our Conservative overlords.

Don't buy from China. We hear about the lies they tell the buyers all the time. On top of the lies, if you were to get the item, it would be equal to the price you paid: cheap. They can sell items really cheap because they use inferior materials with no quality control checks so basically all you get from China is junk.

Non payers should get unpaid item strikes and be added to block bidders lists. Period.
