Hi, I haven't changed any info on my paypal account and have always paid my fees through the automatic withdraw from paypal. I double checked my paypal account and it all looks fine.
This came through My Messages yesterday so I know it's not a spoof.
"We are writing to alert you that your monthly eBay seller fees have not been paid because your automatic payment method was declined. To continue to use eBay as normal and avoid collections, please complete the following two steps:
1. Make a one time payment via PayPal, credit card or cheque. This will be used to pay for this months invoice.
2. Update your automatic payment method. We will use this to pay for future invoices.
If you have additional questions, please refer to the bottom of this email or use our Help system by clicking on the "Help" link at the top of most eBay pages. If you are unable to answer your questions, you can click on "Contact Us" to send an email to Customer Support.
Please note - if your balance is zero or you have recently made a one time payment, please disregard this message.
Regards,
eBay Inc."
I've already sent off an email asking what's going on.
Anyone else dealing with this?
Suggestions?
Shari

It is a BUG. You are not alone.
eBay is aware of the problem and will post on .COM announcement Board one of these days.
05 September, 2007 | 12:20PM BST
Please note that some members who have set up to pay their eBay fees by automatic payment may receive an alert informing them that their automatic payments have been declined. The message will advise members to make a one-time payment in order to settle their accounts.
If you have received one of these messages, please ignore it. There is no need to make a one-time payment. Payment will be collected using the normal automatic period in the next few days.
If you have already made a one-time payment, please note that you will not be charged again in this billing cycle.
We apologise for the confusion that has been caused. We are working to identify and fix the cause of the problem.
Regards,
The eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie Teams

Thank you!
I do vaguely remember something similar happening a year or so ago.
In a panic, I paid and then found out I didn't need to.
Just wanted to make sure it was another glitch and not a real problem with my account.
Thanks again,
Shari

This is the first time I have run into this problem and I did make a one time payment which is not a problem.
Thanks for the info. Now I don't have to investigate it myself.
