If you are listing on a national site (dotCA for Canada, dotCOM for USA) then you are automatically going to be shipping to that country.

If you are not IN that country (Canadians listing on dotCOM) then you will choose Flat Rate Shipping.

If you ARE in that country (Canadian listing on dotCA) then you can choose either Flat Rate or Calculated Shipping.

For the other country, you open International Shipping-> Choose Custom -> and choose the one you want to ship to (ie USA if you are shipping from dotCA).

Again, if you are shipping from Canada and listing on dotCA, you can choose Flat Rate or Calculated Shipping.

And if you are shipping from Canada but listing on dotCOM, you must choose Flat Rate Shipping,

For Free Shipping.

If you want to offer Free Shipping to the country you do not reside in, choose Flat Rate and enter $0.00 as the shipping rate.

Bulky Goods.

If you are selling items that are thicker than 2cm and weigh more than 500 grams, you will be using Parcel rates.

Because these vary not only by size and weight, but by destination, you are best to use Calculated Shipping and list these on dotCA*.

*If you live in or very near Toronto**, Vancouver**, Montreal or Calgary, there are companies which will, for a small fee, deliver your shipments to the USPS.

Don't forget to block the countries that you don't sell to - find them under "Exclude Shipping Locations" in the Shipping Details section of the Sell Your Item form.  If blocking everywhere except Canada & US, check everything except North America, and under North America>Show All Countries, check off the first four locations.
