What do you mean by the 'main auction page'?

If you mean the first page of listings, you should be aware that there are, on average, some 800 million listings on eBay at any given time.

How long has it been since you posted your listing? It can take up to 24 hours for an item to 'index' and those from new sellers and /or in high value/high fraud categories take longest.

The 'bots are looking for errors

Then there is the Cassini Search system.

No one really understands this, but among other criteria are:

Experience of seller-- You have neither bought nor sold on eBay before. This makes buying from you problematical, not because you would mean to do anything wrong, but because you don't understand the system.

Item Specifications-- Use them

Shipping and Handling-- Give your customer the information she needs to buy. And Free Shipping seems to give a boost in Search, it certainly does in selling.

Returns and refunds-- You can specify No Returns, but if you take Paypal, you make refunds. A customer -friendly 14-day return period is the sweet spot.

Pictures-- The more the better , although I only use one in the vast majority of my listings.

I would suggest that you start by doing a little buying to build your feedback.

Shipping supplies are pretty good. Poly envelopes, a digital metric scale, bubble envelopes (but watch for shipping costs), labels, printer ink, are often good buys.

As well as good pricing, look for a seller with 99% or better feedback who seems to leave feedback on shipment.

Or little gifts for you or for your family.

You needed a better title for your item: 1962 Angler's handbook, vintage fish knife, bait press with pouch.

You also had it in the wrong category. The correct category is: Sporting goods > fishing > vintage > other

Non payers should get unpaid item strikes and be added to block bidders lists. Period.
