Hello, as I've read a few similar articles about this, and as a first time eBay user, I am worried to where my package is.
First things first, I live in Calgary Alberta, Canada
I purchased an item from a seller in the Ukraine. They sent out the item, and a tracking number using Ukrposhta ( Ukraine service ) It has almost been a month since the item has been shipped, and today I have tracked the package, and it says it was out for delivery by USPS to an address in Georgia USA. It was not accepted and now it requires pick up from their center.
This concerns me, as to how this happened? I contacted the seller and they instructed me that the shipping address they used is correct. I've contacted eBay via phone call and they said to wait the weekend to see if I get it, if not to call them back. This isn't even remotely close to me, nor in my country, so I don't understand why they wont look at it now?
My questions follow as to what is happening? What got screwed up? Will I get my package? Money back?
At this point I'm lead to believe my initial thoughts on ever using eBay because of the horror stories you hear, and seeming to become victim to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did the seller show you the postage label they used? Ask them to send you a copy. They’ll have one. If they don’t, start getting suspicious and open your Item Not Received case. DO NOT ACCEPT A REPLACEMENT FROM THIS PERSON. You want your money back, nothing else. Either via eBay or PayPal. What you need to see if your name and your address on the label with the tracking number supplied.

What you should do is ask the seller to give you the correct tracking number for your purchase.

No, it’s ebay (and other eBay users like you find here on eBay Canada Community) who will help to protect you from falling victim to this one inept (or dishonest) seller. Horror stories only emerge when buyers fail to exercise their rights under eBay’s MoneyBack Guarantee. As a new user, you might look like an easy target to a scammer but you are above and beyond that since you came here for assistance.

GI:GO
It is also possible that the parcel in Georgia was an entirely different shipment with an entirely different number that was incorrectly recorded.
You say the seller has sent you a pdf of the label they used with your address and the tracking number they supplied on it.
If it really is in Georgia, don't you think a USPS worker might actually READ the label and notice that the address is completely wrong?
But it is pretty easy to reverse a number without noticing.
As in 1234567891011213 .
A month from Ukraine is not unusual. But if you have passed the last estimated date for delivery, you can open an Item Not Received dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.

You saw the correct tracking number on that barcode along with your name AND address?
It's unusual for a package with a 6 digit postal code with numbers and letters to be mistaken for a 5 digit numerical zip code. As suggested, if it is past the latest estimated delivery date on your purchase details, you can file an item not received claim. If there is an area where you can enter a note, mention that the package has been delivered in the US. It's possible that they won't realize the postal code/zip code doesn't match. In the end though, you should get your money back.
