Garbage access to help from security center

I came across a listing that actually is a series of listings nested in one that I am sure tricks people and yet how to report it?

I have pissed away a bunch of time to no avail which is totally bogus for a site that says it has security.

I am sure that many mugging victims feel the same way.

What is the listing number so readers can see for themselves? You cannot post the sellers eBay id but you can post the item number.

" how to report it?"

Click on the REPORT button available in all listings. It only takes a few seconds.

Hi all,

I you are talking about "choice" sales you are allowed to list multiple items that are the same but perhaps are available in different sizes. Say you sell T-shirts and you have ten green ones all exactly the same but they come in small, medium, and large, you are allowed to clump them into one listing with an option for the buyer to choose which size they need. It helps to keep ebay less cluttered and makes it easier to find more choices of what you are looking for, because nobody wants to sift through hundreds of listings all the same but with size variations, it's tedious.

If you are talking about sellers who regularly abuse this type of listing, I have reported many repeatedly for misuse, and not one of them has been removed yet. I am talking about sellers that use the choice option, but the choices are for completely different items, different brand, size and item numbers.

It is frustrating and misleading when sellers clump a bunch of items into a photo then put a price of say $10.00, and it looks like you get what's in the photo for that price, but then you click on the listing and discover that you can only have one of the items in the photo for that price.

It is maddening when you know that when many items are purchased from a single listing it gets a boost in search because it is considered to be a popular item. It is also fee avoidance, since the seller is only paying for one listing but listing perhaps twenty items in that listing.

But.. apparently ebay doesn't really care, or I wouldn't keep seeing the ones I have reported on the site, and I have reported some of the same listings at least a half a dozen times, still there.

Not that I am policiing ebay but I get my knickers in a knot when I have to pay all of my ebay fees in full and other sellers are abusing the system and saving a lot of money in fees.

Cheers!

Heather

I think the OP is referring to Babushka or Matryoshka listings.

There are lots of listings out there that seem to break the rules, but when you report them - nothing happens.

On category in sports cards is box breaks:

Lot: 110997642935  is an example.

These lots are essentially gambling.  You have no idea what cards you will get or whether they will be worth a lot or a little.  You rely on the honesty of the person running the auction or sale.  These "chance" listings appear to be against the rules - yet there are over 2000 running right now.
