Non-Canadian account

I created my account when I lived in Canada almost 20 years ago, but have not lived in Canada in a very long time now. I have tried at several points to get my account converted to the country I was living in at the time (various, but currently the USA) without any luck. So far it hasn’t really been an issue but if eBay is going to charge me GST for transactions that occur outside of Canada that’s ridiculous.

Your profile states that you are in the US.  Are you talking about being charged gst as a buyer?  If so, tax is based on the address that you are getting the item shipped to.  If your address isn't in Canada you won't be charged Canadian tax.

Or do you have another ID as a seller that is based in Canada?
