Discovered a new issue when trying to upgrade shipping on an order today.
Listing was created to include Tracked and Small Packet Air to Europe and Australia. Had a sale to Norway. Buyer paid for Small Packet Air Intl. In attempting to upgrade to Intl. Tracked, that service was not being offered. Confirmed listing details and it DOES include the option to ship with both services as does the eBay calculator tool. (Small 480 gram parcel. Not oversized). Confirmed with CP toll free and agent at post office. Tracked to Norway IS offered and should not be an issue.
According to eBay CS who "suggested" the address is being blocked for that service to Norway for some unknown reason.
As a side test I have tried to remove the VAT info which is now located in line 2. Unsure if that has overwritten part of the official customer address. Did not correct missing option for Intl. Tracked. Still was MIA. The VAT paid info should NEVER be used as an address line. That information should either be in a notes section or included as part of the long courier style customs form. I have had situations in the past where, after confirming with buyer there was more to address than what was being displayed. This could cause items to be not delivered due to incomplete address.
devon@ebay can you look into this please. There have been other situations where sellers have NOT had access to services that should be available as per listing details. They were forced to go outside of eBay labels and use a more expensive, not as discounted service on their own dime. In my situation the next available option would have been Xpresspost Intl (20.00 more than customer paid) which would have not been feasible for a 30.00 order. Intl Tracked if included with ebay labels as per listing would have 4.00 more.
