Curious to know if everyone has a preference? With dot ca for (very long discussions) tab included is Load More. With dot com it's by Page Option. Personally, on a PC I find its much easier to manuever by page. Not really sure why 1 board would be set up 1 way and the other a different way. Comments? Suggestions.
Should adding/replying to a post in a discussion display at the end or in the middle? For me they are displaying in the middle. Makes finding new posts challenging. Is that something to do with settings?

If I understand what you are referring to, the only time I see 'load more' is if I go to the community home page and scroll down to see the latest posts/threads. At the bottom of that page I see 'load more' on both .com and .ca.
If I am on one particular board or reading a thread, I see the page option on the bottom on both .com and .ca.
Do you see 'load more' other than on the community home page?Should adding/replying to a post in a discussion display at the end or in the middle? For me they are displaying in the middle. Makes finding new posts challenging. Is that something to do with settings?
On the discussion boards - Immediately after I have reply to a post I see my post underneath the one that I replied to. Once I leave that thread, my post drops to the bottom. I don't ever recall ever seeing other people's new posts in the center. If you are seeing something different than perhaps it does have something to do with your settings. However, I haven't changed anything on my settings and other than seeing my new post temporarily under the post I replied to, the display is the same.
But it is different on the Answer Boards and always has been. There it is difficult to figure out where the new posts are because it does seem to be out of order and because of the way the comments are hidden. I really dislike that whole format and really don't understand the need for it. I don't know if there is another way for individuals to set up that area.

A post marked by the op as a solution does show up near the top and then again in the order in which it was originally posted. That has been done on the .com boards for quite a while...I do find it odd and confusing.

It's really hard to explain. I've seen so many different variations(between dot ca/dot com) as of late and things seem to change daily. In the past I came to the discussion area and could see all the posts basically in real time as they were added to. Now I find the only way to follow a discussion is to subscribe and watch for the bell or an email letting me know someone has responded. Personally I would call it different. Just not really an improvement especially for anyone that does everything on a PC.
I just tried what you mentioned and went to a long discussion with 53 posts. At the bottom after post 20 it only shows Show more replies. Nothing about pages. In going through settings backwards I am not seeing anything that should cause that display.

The Managed Payments thread has 53 posts and at the bottom of page I see an option of going to page 2 or 3. I don't know why you aren't seeing the same thing...browser issue perhaps? I'm using Firefox.
When they first changed the boards the new posts did not show at the top but they did change that last week. Once I post this, the thread should jump to the top and will be bolded to show you that there new posts. Basically it is working the same way that it used to other than the fact that it is bolding the title even if the new post is the one that I just did.
When the boards first changed and the posts weren't synching up properly, did you fiddle with the settings? If so, that might have caused the problem. If you go to your profile/settings/linear layout...Make sure that you have checked off to jump to first unread post of that topic. For everything else on that page, I have default checked off.
As far as the US boards and .ca boards being the same.....they are now closer to the same than they have been in years. If there are small differences now, I haven't really noticed them and since there aren't that many of us that read both boards, it shouldn't really matter.

Firefox.
Ebay inconsistencies, irregularities and bad programming? Probably.
