Relist and Sell Similar Option

Anyone having issues currently using either of the above features? When I try Sell similiar and modify it will not completely send. It does create a draft but that too is unable to send to ebay. Just get the dreaded spinning wheel.

I use sell similar and relist all the time, I just tried a draft listing now and it worked fine for me.

I have however noticed over the last couple of months that if I'm working on a listing from sell similar and am part way through but leave (the page open) and go do something else the autosave feature saves what I was working on, HOWEVER when I come back and try to finish the rest of the listing - it lets me enter everything but when I try to save or list I get the dreaded spinner and have to exit to escape it.

When I check in drafts it saved part of it (the part from before I left) but not anything I added after.

Since this has happened several times to me now I got in the habit of "saving as draft" whenever I leave the room...most times I think I'm just going to get a coffee I'm longer away than I thought. I'm not sure if this is what is happening for you or something different but that's what I found in my particular case.

I do the same thing as @msau4301 . I save as a  draft as soon as I load the photos. My active page will time out in about 5 minutes. If I let it sit open it will no longer save and just spin away so i save it every few mins.

What you are seeing has been an ongoing observation for many (at least 6) months. Similar thing can happen if you shut down with 1 of those windows open even though it has been sent to system. After you reboot, that window will return. With this recent situation it was just a matter of several re-boots. Something was trapped in memory and the problem noted has stopped. Unofficially my guess eBay does not permit coffee breaks but only spitballing.

As a side in speaking to a newer seller (6 months). They are seeing "some" new listings that can take up to 48 hours to be viewable by others on eBay when other listings will show up immediately. eBay email regarding the listing is immediate along with the corresponding start time attached to the listing). In testing mine as I list they are visible in under 1 hour.

Interesting about the time lag for listings appearing! I just assumed when I got the email the listing was up and could see them on my end they were out!  This might be the reason why sometimes I have watchers almost immediately on items, other times takes longer when they are comparable items.

I'll have to check some of mine when I do my next round later this week.

For the observation of the spinner/saving issue being six months....I thought it was only a month or two but the older I get the worse my sense of time is! You blink and another year passes!
