I am manually moving a friends listings from the .com to .ca, but every time I create a new Canadian listing and choose metric parcel dimensions, it defaults back to imperial dimensions. Is there some account setting I need to change to make this work? My account has no issues creating listings on the .ca with metric measures.
You would need 2 browsers open and cut and paste where applicable. ebay com to ca. Modify weights as required. If you use sell similar from a com listing it copies everything as is keeping the imperial. On ca you can choose either metric or imperial options but for rate accuracy metric is a much safer preference.

It could be cache and history. Have you tried creating a generic template and making your listings that way?

Must have been the cache. Managed to get it working by doing a sell similar of another seller's Canadian listing.

Use AI listing software to move it over. Don’t do it manually, it will take forever.
Hi, can you please tell me where and how to do that? I've never heard of AI listing software. Thank you.

I've never used it (I THINK it's legit), but you MIGHT be able to transfer them over using ebaymag. I believe the site is for businesses who need different local listings for their products, but I suspect it might also work for actually transfering listings. Again though, I've never used it and I don't know what could possibly go wrong if you try either. Use at your own risk.
On a side note, keeping the items as imperial probably isn't that big a deal (compared to actually getting your stuff listed). You can always go through them later when you have some time and change them.

I might catch a ban from an overzealous mod if I mention any AI listing software out there, but it will allow you to ‘list easier’
From a thinking in or outside the box perspective (you choose) it would have been a valid concept years ago to have an inhouse tool for moving listings between sites with something very streamlined to simplify the process. Like ummm one other, what would be useful concept, the option to list in the currency of your choice which was unceremoniously removed years ago. Must have been some sort of delusional fear of cross contamination between sites!!!
