How can I invoice for upgraded shipping

I sold an item to a gal in the US & we corresponded beforehand so knew she wanted to upgrade the shipping to tracked. I had told her to go ahead & do the BIN then I would invoice her with the upgraded shipping amount. Well guess she did not read it correctly & went ahead & paid me with the lower shipping cost. I thought I could just send her a Paypal invoice for the difference in shipping as I thought I had done this once before & thought her email address was on Paypal but it is not. Is there anyway to do this without refunding her & making her buy it again. I would be tempted to eat the difference in shipping but it was only a $20 item so if I do that there goes the profit!

The buyers email address can be found in the payment notification email from PayPal.

Forgot to mention, your buyer was likely forced to pay immediately, this is something that has been going on for a long time but has been more widespread over the past year.

It was originally introduced about 5 years ago, if their purchase in under $1000, the buyer has a linked PayPal account and a couple of other requirements then they are often forced to pay immediately.

It was done to cut down on non-payment situations with ther unfortunate side effect of making combined orders difficult if the seller doesn't have combined rules in place.

I thought the email was there too but just looked at my notification again & cannot find it. My email shows as to where money was sent but can't find hers. Have you seen it lately, wondering if this has changed or maybe I am just blind!

Go to the Refund link -- the email is still there.

You only have to look at it-- you don't have to refund!

EBay really doesn't want us to contact the customers we find through them do they?

Th email associated with a Paypal payment is noted on the transaction record on Paypal.

Send an invoice using Paypal.  for the extra cost due to the upgrade of postage to tracking  included.

just checked Paypal....  Some transactions have the email address, while others will state go to eBay if you want to contact the buyer.

the email address for a buyer is  included on the sales record page for 45 days after a transaction has occurred.... This is on eBay...  

This  email address associated with the transaction on eBay should be the same as the email address  associated with the transaction on Paypal.....

However, all of this can, and might change as time passes

Up at the top in the headers, look for the "reply to".
