Hi,
I already have an active eBay account that I’ve been using for purchases, and I now want to start selling using the eBay API.
I can access the seller dashboard and product listing interface from my account without issue.
However, when I tried to register for the eBay Developer Program using the same email and username as my eBay seller account, my registration was rejected with the following error:
"Your account registration was rejected due to problems with the data provided or other irregularities. If you believe this rejection is in error, please see our FAQs and Contact Channels page or work with your eBay representative directly."
I am not sure what specific detail caused the rejection. My seller account is in good standing, and all personal and contact information is correct.
I’d like to:
- Understand why my developer account registration was rejected.
- Find out how I can link my existing seller account to a new or reactivated developer account.
- Proceed with getting API access so I can list inventory using the Sell Inventory / Listing APIs.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
