Is Paypal Shipping Down?

I've been trying to print a label for the past hour.

Does anyone know if paypal shipping is down?

I wouldn't be surprised -- possibly something to do with the massive storm that just hit the East Coast overnight?  A lot of areas around NYC and Boston are out of power, and there isn't much hope of it all getting fixed today.  Where is Paypal headquartered?  Anyone know?

PayPal has operation centers located in Arizona, Nebraska, Brazil, China, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia.

Development centers in Arizona, Texas, India, Israel and Singapore.

HQ is in California, Luxembourg (Europe) and Singapore (International).

As for paypal's Canada Post shipping, I just checked and It's working for me.

I have been trying for the past hour to print a couple labels. Worked fine for me yesterday, but not today.

PayPal shipping is definitely down. Try to print 5 labels. A real disaster.

A very bad news! I called PayPal - they confirm, that there is a serious problem and they have NO IDEA, when it will be fixed!

They suggested, that I cancel my tomorrow's Canada Post pick-up!

I've been trying for 4 hours.  It worked for me this morning in another account but then when I switched accounts it quit.  I have packages to ship.  I'm hoping it's fixed by tomorrow, don't really want to take these to the Post Office and not get the extra discount that ebay gives us.  Keeping fingers & toes crossed.

If they don't fix the issue today, 7 items will be "late" (shipping label printed with +24 hours delay). It might affect my TRS status ;-(

Imagine, how much money will PayPal lose because of this incredible failure ....

They shut down the service about 10 hours ago! I simply can't believe it's really happening ..... a real nightmare!

I printed a few labels early this afternoon without a problem.

Nothing here. I am waiting until midnight (Pacific Time), then I abandon - because all items sold during the weekend will be anyway late (not comply with 1-day handling time). Thank you, PayPal!

38e, I suggest you get your items mailed another way. I am using the Canada post website to get my labels printed. You can also take your items to the post office and have them label it.

I would not just wait for the service to come back as it sounds like it could be a long wait.

Thank you for your suggestion - it's what I planned to do.

Fortunately, it works now!

10 AM EST - 5 Labels printed!

With difficulties - one of the labels (a difficult one, multi-item to Macau) I tried  to print 4 times.

Hopefully, it never happens again!!!

Paypal shipping is an absolute joke!  It's the worst service we have ever seen!  From my understanding Paypal has contracted to Pitney Bowes to do the shipping labels through Canada Post.  The amount of times we have had to report issues with this service to Paypal is ridiculous.   Whatever they are paying this company it is way too much for the service they provide in my opinion. There is never any feedback on when it starts working again and never seems to be any ETA on when it might be fixed.  We have not been able to print any shipping labels with this service since about noon yesterday (2/17/2014).  I have called twice about it in the last few days and don't get any help other then an apology. 

We have to use Canada Post EST since yesterday to get all the shipments out but it is so much more time consuming as you have to manually populate all the address fields etc.  

If only the company www.shippingeasy.com would support Canada Post we could drop using Paypal to ship the labels.  They support eBay but not Canada Post.  I have used them for printing USPS labels and the service is amazing.  Canadians please contact them and tell them you want CPC support and hopefully they will add it.  I have asked them many times.

The dreaded Paypal shipping module appears to be back up again as of 2:15pm EST.  Let's hope it stays that way.  Already wasted a bunch of extra money buying labels through CPC EST since the discount with Paypal is more.  That is another frustrating thing when the paypal shipping module goes down is having to pay more for shipping.
