Back when eBay was small and it was a hobby thing to do, the verbiage used for both sellers and buyers was of little consequence as it was a community of small users.
eBay has now grown into a huge company with diversified sales and I find the verbiage and language that the messaging system uses for sellers is rather.......antiquated and dull.
For example: I get a message from member xyz and it says "Member xyz has a question regarding item #12345 watch parts."
I thought for a moment (since I occasionally sell items) that someone had a question about an item I had for sale. But no, it ends up it's a seller for an item I bought, giving me an update on the shipping.
Can't we update the language used for messages coming from sellers post-sale to be a little more, focused? Like it would have been better if it was like this:
"xyz has posted an update on shipping for your purchase "watch parts".
That would be professional and align eBay's system more with the other vendors.
Or am I just out to lunch?
