Description: A discussion on how eBay members can expand their business with an eBay Store.
eBay Stores are a special part of eBay where individual sellers can show other eBay members all of their listings and tell them more about their business through their own customized pages. Most eBay Stores include Store Inventory items - additional fixed price (Buy It Now) items not available in regular search results and categories on eBay. This means millions of eBay members have access to millions of additional items when they search or browse in eBay Stores.

* Please note: This workshop will not cover the "how to" use various functions of eBay Stores, but will focus on the business strategy of using an eBay Store.

ditto what able-w said...I work on 5 computers and all are on diff operating systems....I easily get lost. Any simple directions ?

Gallery is only 1 cent u.s. ??!! Oh Ugh ! I just put 95 items in my store without gallery to save on costs !...big night of editing ahead !

I've made gallery a default in my TL now.

Hello bobbin-fobbler,

To answer your question, "How do I find my store ID number and a link to the custom search box that will work for this custom search feature?"

The Store ID number
1. Go to any of your eBay listing item page
2. Place the mouse on your eBay Store icon (do not click)
3. In your browser status bar you will notice "id=xxxxxx" where the xxxxx represents your eBay Store ID number

I actually had to change all of them in my TL to not show gallery (I thought they would be 15C each !) so my pre-sets are o.k.....just gonna tuck in edit mode for the evening to bring em back !

I think they wanted to know how to turn the custom listing header on.
If you have a store go to manage store. click on custom listing header.You can add up to 5 categories(which you must create in your store first)

Now to muddle my way through the activating part of the custom search ! If you see the shuttle take off into orbit unexpectedly...it's just me trying to do this !!

Follow up to your comment, " have a store. I opened it at the end of October. But this is the first I've heard of putting a search box in regular listings. I know there is one in my store that came with it. "

Well I did learn a bit. Sorry I was snippy. Just was trying to do the workshop while working and got impatient waiting for answers. Plus my first question never got answered.
