Ebay Denied My Appeal for Item Not Received Case

I sold an LP on Ebay to a Buyer in Texas.  I am a Canadian Ebay Seller.  I packaged and shipped the item and did obtain tracking but did not enter it as I was busy.  Also because I think it is fun to catch people who claim they didnt receive an item until I then provide tracking.  This is about the only way I have to weed out the fraudulent buyers at which point I can block them.  It happens all the time.

Anyways.  Buyer states they havent received the item yet by message to me even though delivery was still not even late.  They asked for tracking number.  I provided it.  They claimed it didnt work.   I checked myself and found that it did work and that it had been delivered to the Texas address. I sent screenshots of USPS tracking results to customer.  They then claimed that they started the dispute because they didnt get the item yet in South Korea and the person at the Texas address said they didnt get it yet.    I again told them it was delivered.  They started an item not received case.

Remember I did not enter the tracking number but provided it by messaging to customer.  Ebay then sent me a message asking me to reply with tracking number and proof of deliver.  I did that and even sent photos of the receipt and screenshot showing delivery.  Ebay then ruled against me.  Again tracking provided to both ebay and buyer before buyer won case.   I appealed.  Ebay ruled that because I did not upload the tracking to their "rider automated system" that I provided tracking too late and lost the case.  They took my money and gave it to customer, i ended up with Seller Unresolved Case, lost my money from sale and still had to pay ebay selling fees.  I appealed three times and lost every time.  I wasted hours on this as it is the principle of it.  I am in the right.  The buyer was fraudulent claiming trackiing didnt work and using wrong address etc.

Ebay customer service is so poor it is appauling.  They listen, understand you are right and then tell you it will be fixed and then you never hear from them again.  If you really fight like I did they just tell you a decision has been made and you lose.  Decision is final.  I feel like filing a police report for outright theft!

No so much fun now, eh?

Buy your (discounted ) labels on eBay and don't play games.

If you later have an INR claim, don't assume that eBay will have the tracking information at hand, manually put the number into the Claim.

It's business not a playground.

Well, that game of Spite and Malice did not end as expected for the poster, did it.

You are a Seller, if you had followed procedure & policy this would have ended differently and you would not have ended up here playing what seems like a Victim, you did this to yourself.

You ALWAYS put a tracking number if you have a valid one ASAP, when you do not scammers can fleece the sheeple just like this.

Thank you for posting a PSA for novice SELLERS about not uploading valid tracking when on hand.

It has been said time and time again one must follow the appropriate and proper procedures and processes...

and then there has to be an actual knowledgable human at eBay that can act upon that process using the necessary eBay rules and policies... which we already know is a dying process here on eBay and that there is no such thing as seller support anymore...
