do i need a to link my bank account to sell items on ebay?

I have rarely sold on eBay; my last sale was for $30 USD which the buyer promptly paid.

THEN eBay asks me for my bank info!

AS IF THAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!!

They can credit my credit card which they have on file

This is 2023; NOBODY gets my bank info, wake up!!

I'll probably end up eating the $30 but I have a few reasons NOT to trust eBay; especially some of their sellers with their staged photos, "serviceable condition" stories etc..

Sellers are unable to see any financial information. We can't even see what method the buyer used to pay for an item (at least on eBay Canada).
