Frustrating 9 days, help needed.

I have been off this site for 9 days. My computer had to be updated to Windows 10. When my husband returned with it, I couldn't open the emails. The tech guy said that my Windows Live mail was obsolete and the hard drive needed replacing, so my husband took it back again.

When he brought it back a couple of days ago, I had lost all my saved emails and bookmarks, so he took it back again. He just returned yet again with it, frustrated with three 3 hour trips.

A lot of things to learn. My bookmarks are back, but I can't find a way to get them to stay in the left hand column, they just keep disappearing and I have to click on them each time. I used to be able to get them to stay in the column but now I can't find a way to do it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Yes, certain events can sometimes enable the focused inbox feature even when the user previously disabled the silly thing.

I think it was Gmail that first came up with this ridiculous idea, it had four inboxes, maybe it still does I don't know. Even two inboxes is one too many as far as I'm concerned.
